St. Jerome’s Catholic Parish, Spearwood
SOM-Catholic women’s group is a family that embraces catholic women in faith and friendship, where they can embrace their God given vocation, share their talents and make a sincere gift of self to others based on the Spirituality of the Somascan Fathers. It is an opportunity for the women to gather together to grow in friendship through fellowship and faith.
The primary purpose of this group is to infuse the charism first given by the Holy Spirit to the Founder of Somascan Fathers St. Jerome Emiliani – the paternal Love of God. It is also an opportunity to empower women to take up the mission of the church at the parish level.
Who can Join?
The women, of all ages who have a desire to grow spiritually through prayer and find fellowship with other Christian women’. The SOM-women’s group embraces all adult catholic women.
Objectives:
To Strengthen and deepen the personal relationship with Jesus Christ
To Promote Social and lntellectual faith formation’
To understand and to develop the mission and ministry of the Church
To Actively Participate in the Parish community activities.
To support women in distress.
Charity – Activities During the Year
Faith formation programmes, Social events, Family & Fundraising events (Lunch, Dinnel, Outings, concerts etc.,)
Travelling Mary: The statue of Mary made available as a tangible reminder for the Love for
We meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7pm
Women supporting each other in prayer for faith formation and friendship
